This was the best moving vehicle experience of my life. I'm lucky the train was pretty empty, because I was bouncing from window to window taking pictures the whole time. I don't know how much this ride costs without a EuRail pass, but no matter what it is, it's worth it. Absolutely incredible train ride. I have over 500 pictures from it, this is only a random sampling of the ones that came out fairly well.
"Street Parade 2009" is what this was part of. We saw things about Street Parade when we first got to Zurich, and there's an idea that comes to mind with the word "parade" but this is far from that. It's actually supposedly the biggest techno party in Europe, and thousands of people pack in the train station in Zurich to rave to some of the world's biggest DJs up on that stage. The first picture shows my watch when we got to the train station after going to the grocery store. It was not even 11:30am and the party was well underway. Hundreds of people dressed in crazy outfits were still flocking in from arriving trains as we left. I don't know who was on stage at this point, but as someone who listens to techno once in a while, he was quite good and I'm fairly sure it was a big name DJ that I've listened to in the past.
This came from a very popular store over here called Zara. One of the ones near the Duomo was having a big sale and this bathing suit just wouldn't leave me alone...
